SPECIAL ISSUE CALL FOR PAPERS
The WMJ invites submissions relevant to the teaching, learning and assessment of learners at all levels across, and adjacent to, medical education for a special issue to be published in December 2025. Topics may include but are not limited to:
- the impact of health policy on education
- applying research methodologies in curriculum analysis
- applications of technology (e.g., AI, virtual reality, simulation, telemedicine, e-learning) in education
- community engagement to advance health equity
- innovations promoting culturally responsive care
- quality improvement initiatives
- educational psychology
- systems-based approaches
- uncertainties in medicine
- mentorship, advising, and/or coaching approaches and outcomes
- interprofessional education innovations and insights
- innovations in teaching pedagogy and learning strategies
- learner success strategies
- novel approaches to assessment of knowledge and skills
- professional development to promote effective teaching
- impact of service learning and community service on learner development
- unique needs of adult learners
- novel curricular advances
Authors should refer to the Instructions for Authors for manuscript guidelines. We will consider peer-reviewed submissions (i.e., original research, review articles, case reports and brief reports, as well as editorial-reviewed submissions (i.e., commentaries, personal narratives, letters and editorials).
