Since 1903, the Wisconsin Medical Journal—WMJ (ISSN 2379-3961)—has served as a forum for professional communication and continuing education for physicians and other health professionals—a tradition that continues today thanks to a partnership between the Medical College of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. (Read more about this collaboration here.)
Published six times per year and online in advance, WMJ provides the opportunity for health care and public health professionals throughout the Midwest to publish original research, case reports, review articles, brief reports, essays and letters to the editor about current medical and public health issues. It is a peer-reviewed, indexed scientific journal available electronically—free, full text online and through PubMed. While WMJ’s primary audience is health care professionals throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest, Web tracking indicates that its articles are accessed from around the country and even the world.
The mission of WMJ is to provide an opportunity to publish original research, case reports, review articles, and essays about current medical and public health issues.
